degreeing cams ... why?

      For a street bike you will find more usable power with the cams around 104-106 on the intake & 106-108 on the exhaust. Advancing the cams in this manner will produce more bottom end & midrange, as in where a street bike spends most of it's life. It is extremely IMPORTANT to check piston to valve clearance no matter where you put the cams! Ray.

        WAIT nevermind, you wouldn't know anything about that since you only run your bikes 1/4 mile at a time!! LMAO jk I couldn't resist!

            I just ran 36mpg Highway with 50mph wind gusts going to Venture.
            I'm at 110 and 110.
            1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
            1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.
