One more pic of how it changed the look of the bike.

I must say, that is a sweet bike =D As a fellow 650GX owner, it's nice to see some work put into them... hopefully mine will look as good as that when i get done with it. I've been debating on a color scheme for mine, and this provides a great example. If I may ask, which 4-1 is that? And, if you remember or not, i'm having trouble rejetting my carbs for the pods... dynojet told me they officially do not offer instructions for that year/model =(

        Hey Clayton, Thanks!!

The instructions for the gs700 will do you just fine up to the point of the setting for the clips and the jet sizes. If you are running pods, along with a 4 into 1 exhaust...go with the DJ 160 jets. Otherwise go with the DJ 155. The mixture screw is pretty darn close on mine to 2.5 turns out. I got the e clip on the 3rd position from the top on the needle.

the exhaust is a Marshall Deeptone 4 into 1. I highly recommend it. The one that mac makes...I dont like the look or the sound of it.

If you have any more specific questions about the dynojet just shoot me a pm or an email.

              Oil Cooler

Love what can bee done to A GS. as for the oil cooler,"correct me if im wrong" I seem to remember seeimg some GS models like 550MZ W/cooler lined & mounted to the oil filter cover. like the honda cb650. SAN

Hey San, I think some bikes do use a filter cover set up for tapping into the oil feed. If it is not stock, there is no bypass(other than the original one) and it can mess with the oil pressure. That was my main concern with putting one on my bike. I wanted it to work like its supposed to, not only cooling, but also not messing with the oil pressure. I do think the 550M model had the cooler lines going to the oil pan, and a down feed oil cooler. Inside the oil pan there is a oil bypass and a pressure regulator.

Hey San Thanks, just looked at your bike.... very nice!!

Ya without looking at the fisch I am not to up on my 550's. But I am pretty sure the stock 550 oil cooler was an option for me in my search for what would work on my bike. You thinking about doing a cooler on your bike?

                      oil cooler mod

THANK'S for compliment. Yes I have bracket made , Cooler painted. Just would like to find easiest method to hook, other than making or buying the adapter plate and connecters to use the oil pressure sensor, under carbs behind cam tensioner. to much in tight area.SAN

I think you would want to find a OE 550 oil pan from a bike that came with an oil cooler. Look in the parts for sale area of the site. I think I saw a guy parting out a 550 that had a factory oil cooler on it... you need the oil pan and the pressure regulator block off tube from his bike I think.

Thanks Bad Kaw!!! It seems to be working out great. I think the bike should have come with one on it from the factory.

Well, your work looks very "factory" so just color me a 'fan'. Again, great quality work.
