80 850gt replacement coils
Have an 1980 gs850gt with origional coils I would like to relace them with something a little hotter and with replaceable wires, havent found any thing on line dose anyone have a suggestionTags: None

And a set of wires (at the bottom of that page) oughta do ya. See if you can get some pink wires -- they're faster...1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

The black Dyna coils are about 5 ohms and are the best suited for a points ignition. Some people running points get the green coils and run a ballast resistor since that gives them a better upgrade path later on if they decide to spring for a Dyna S.
Regarding coils in general, I'd rather have the stock coils than Dyna's assuming the stockers are in good shape. Do what you want but changing out functional coils for aftermarket is not necessarly an upgrade.Ed
