So here is what you do, buy your stacks, and some universal UNI foam (sold in cut to fit bulk at your local cycle shop) Now cut and shape the UNI foam to fit snug and complete into each stack. Now the interesting part.. is the fine mesh screen at the base of the stacks? If so just drill an 1/8" hole across the tops of all the stacks and slide threaded brass rod through all the holes to hold in the UNI foam and put lock nuts on the ends to keep the rod from falling out. Now take the bike and a pile of jets to a shop with an EGA machine and do some tests, also bring a few small washers to shim the needle is needed.
If the screen is on top I don't know a good way to keep the foam in the stacks. Not at this moment anyways. I would hate to have the motor gobble up the foam the second it comes to life. Maybe just drill the holes in the middle of the stacks and run the rod through the foam as well.. that would lessen the pressure on the mesh as well as hold the foam in. I just don't know if the foam will tear or not. never tested that.
Either way non-filtered air = bad news for anything moving on the gas side of the stacks.

Tony. And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Next the same GS with Vance and Hines megaphone, Fours and More jet kit, k&n filters and Dyna coils for about 10.85 @ 124ish. Up next came 38 flat slides and the ET dropped to 10.75 and the mph only went up two to about 126 . Then came the rest of the puzzle that put it all together. 1229 kit, mild street porting, cam motion g4 cams, and Dyna S ignition. Now the whole package worked and the ET fell into the 10.45 range with a best of 10.36 @ 134 I was not inexperienced at drag racing and had many runs under my belt before the 1150 ever saw the track. The bike ran with no wheelie bars and the stock swing arm and 130 bias tire. all those mods and I still did not see a full second increase! It was not till I added nitrous that i saw a full second increase over stock in the 1/4 . Now granted my bike was limited due to the stock tire size and stock swing arm. But for what its worth I have never seen anyone pick up a full second with just bolt on performance enhancers discounting a turbo, supercharger or nitrous.
