GS750ES exhaust suggestions
The title sums it up. I've restored an 83 GS750ESD that had only 6000km or 3600 miles on it. Everything is in mint condition except for the exhaust.I manage to install a Supertrapp system on it that was originally made for an 1100, so it fits but it is to near the ground under the header for my taste. Wanted to know if you guys could give me suggestions for exhaust systems that would fit 83-85 GS750ES that are still available

Mine has a Supertrapp 4 into 1 (still need the endcap and defuser) but sound really good.. It's got that let off the gas backfire pop... Love it.

Yes but it isn't available or if it is' it's not on their website. I already checked Supertrapp, Vance & Hines, Kerker, Yosh website. Could also be a swap from another model but I don't want to do major mods on it to make it fit.

I just bought a Hindle meant for the '86 and '87 GSXR750. The pipe went on beautifully for the way my bike is set up. With stock rear pegs it might be necessary to have the midpipe rebent a little, maybe not. Any of the oil cooled GSXR pipes will fit, it's just a metter of if they will fit around the stock pegs.

I guess the safest way is the approach Billy Ricks suggesting. It would be nice though having the confirmation from another member saying that a Yoshimura system made for the 88-95 GSX-R fits right up without any mods for example except of course for the mounting bracket

I've got an 84 Katana 750 which is basically the same frame/engine. I installed an exhaust off an 88 katana 750 and it fit really well. I suppose an aftermarket exhaust to fit the 88 through 90-whatever katana exhaust would give you less problems than trying to fit GSX-R bits....

Pipes for GSES
I believe MAC still makes them. Bassani is no longer making them. On my bike I have fitted GSX600 and GSX750 pipes. You can still find them NOS. I wouldn't doubt that GSF600 pipes would also fit. The connection at the rear is always unique but has never been a real challenge. You can always find something rigid to connect to.

Thanks Smokinapankake,
I posted my question here because I'm sure that someone has already done this to a GS750ES. Just have to wait that he read the post. It kind of ****ing me off to see that it's so difficult to find exhaust systems for those models. If aftermarket manufacturers would still keep those available, I'm sure that they would sell quite some because old bikes are getting much and much restored. I also own a '72 Kawasaki H2 and you can almost build a complete bike with only the parts listed on eBay.

All comes down to volume... it's a reasonably rare bike so not much demand I guess.

I agree with the volume issue but on the other hand I'm pretty sure that mass production of aftermarket headers (because the can can fit on several models, recent or old)) is just a question of changing the program in a bending machine that does the job without any human help. Complaining about that fact wont change anything but still...
