I have pretty much sold 1 set to a member here & in the interest of not selling him a lemon I thought I'd better try a set out.
Here's what they look like on the Skunk:

How it looked with the stock ones:

This was on my test ride today (glorious 72 degree weather). I put about 40 miles on them and took in my favourite set of twisties locally plus a landside area "portugese bend" which has a long bumpy stretch of road. It's always moving & they are always doing repairs.
Prior to these I was running a low mileage set of stock shocks. I have ridden a reasonable number of bikes but most of my GS experience has been on either stock or Koni Shocks. I've also ridden the MDI shocks quite a bit on a 550 I had too.
These ride pretty similar to the Koni's. A significant improvement over stock. I didn't need to add any preload & that was about perfect (similar to stock with preload on about 1 or 2, I ride the skunk a bit stiffer than I did my 1000G) but plenty of preload adjustment available for someone with more than my svelte 165lbs..

These have 40 point rebound adjustment & around 25 seemed pretty good for inital ride. (I have had the spring off & the first 10 - 15 clicks don't do too much in honesty).
They are rebuildable - not sure about the longevity but they seem of a decent quality. I didn't take them apart but they appear to come apart the same way as the Koni's. Shaft is the same size as stock shock.
Not 100% sure I like the look on the skunk (one of the reasons I didn't go for Posplayr's Ohlins that were for sale recently).
If anyone else is interested in these I have a set for the G bikes (850 / 1000G) that I will be prepared to let go. (Eye to Eye, Stock length).
