New 1980 GS1100LT Owner needing aftermarket parts

I just bought a 1980 GS1100LT and the speedo and tach are both bad. Every were I look the replacements are discontinued. I am planning on doing some mods too the bike so I am open too OEM options or aftermarket speedo and tach. I'm also looking for advice on what jet kit, filters, and exhaust would be best for the bike. Thank you in advance for all the help.

In order to answer anything, just about everyone is going to ask you what you plan on doing with the bike. What sort of riding are you planning? Track only? Daily driver? Or something in between? These bikes can be tuned any number of ways, depending on how you need it to respond.

I plan to make it more of a street fighter and us it for daily driving.

I have a good set of instruments from an '83 850 GL (140mph speedo). If that will work on your 16V motor, and you're interested, PM me.

Apart from that, I've been interested in the veypor units for a while. They have data logging capabilies, and can work with the Sportvue HUD.

I too am interested in aftermarket speedos and which would work best on GSs. Like jrh246, I too have an '80 1100L and speedo died (cable still good). So, figured I would take the opportunity to improve, like our original poster.
Any ideas, gentlemen (and possibly ladies)?
