    Gs1085s spark plugs

my Gs1085 is just about ready to go on the road, wondering to use normal NGK B8es
    or NGK-iridium plug.
its got Dyna ignition and coils fitted.

I'm getting ready to install my 1085's. Just got them back from Swain Tech to get the tops ceramic coated & the skirts anti-friction coated. Do you know what clearance your machinist used?
I've been using the Dyna coils for a while & will be installing the Dyna S when I do the pistons. Also been using the B8ES plugs with no issues.

I've been running B8es with the same set up for years. Lots of spark, no need for iridium

B8ES will be fine - I've never found any of advantages claimed for the iridium plugs (except the wallet is a bit lighter!)

              Aaaaaahhhhh

i got to admit my stock Gs ran better on B8es,than the iridium ones.
              Thanks for the replies.

                I love ngk .

I like the ES plugs but the "EG" plug b8eg and b9eg is is worth trying. Long highway rides and long sitting traffic lights the 9 is a better choice for summer. longer warm up but better.. iridium is A LOT of money for less performance than the EG style red box plug.

The iridiums might make a difference if the stock coils are in use, since they claim they are capable of firing at a much lower voltage, and result in fewer misfires than a standard plug/weak coil combo. They also have a very tiny electrode, and the design is pretty foul resistant, in the event of any jetting issues (obviously better to fix the problem by correcting jetting, than resorting to different plugs). They supposedly also outlast regular plugs substantially, by virtue of the electrode material, so in cases where access to the plugs themselves are a problem (some bikes and cars need a lot of tupperware/parts removed), it makes sense to extend the required change intervals as much as possible.
I'm running the Denso iridiums (these have an even tinier, miniscule electrode, compared to the NGK iridiums)....got them only bec. someone bought the wrong ones for his bike and sold me the set for $20...I certainly wouldn't pay full price (around $14/each) for them. I like them...response seems crisper, but since I (stupidly) installed Dyna coils at the same time, not sure where the credit goes.
                  Tony.
