    That would be my 750.... yes, the lack of grunt is a pain compared to the 1100. The 1166 in your bike is pretty special though, better than any 1100 I have ridden.
    You really have to rev that 83 750 engine hard to get really good performance from it.

    I too have been thinking of a 7/11 swap... not sure how easy it is for the 83 though??

    My other (easy) option is to go up a couple of teeth on the rear cog, I think that would also help.

      Well Dan you are correct; Your 750 Is nice handling but the grunt of even the 1000 left me wanting more power on the 750.

      probably what made it the worst was me trying to keep up with you on my bike

      Ray and I were talking about it and he said you would need a Gixxer motor. Maybe a 1052

      There are probably other options like a bandit motor whcih would make that thing really pretty modern and a monster.

      The GSXR 750 have alot more Hp but not the same 1100 grunt

        I like the torque of the 1000 against that of the 750 for sure..... Your 1166 is a different league again.
        I don't remember any 1100 feeling that different from the 1000 until you wind it up a bit...

              The Bandit 1250 makes 80-ish lbs/ft IIRC, available at around 3000 rpm.... what a hoot....it makes a B-12 seem almost anemic in comparison, if you can dig that (I've ridden both bikes).

                sure there is, boost. I've heard that expression all my life, and used to believe it. Until I took a merkur xr4ti and blistered a newer vette. Don't think he believes it anymore. More grunt, definitely go 1100. More balls to the wall omg stuff, boost it.

                    And after the 1100 seems slow to you after you've gotten used to it, you can always make it a 1400cc motor & have even MORE fun!!! Ray.
