new to the GS community and am wondering does any other Gs models fit . in other words are there any interchangeable parts ? i have a 1977 Gs750 . im trying to change the exhaust, just not wanting to spend the $400-500 for a 4-1 header! paid $500 for the bike, thinking of turning it into a cafe racer!

No, it's that you started the thread at 2:14am (CST)...people sleep in on Saturdays.
IIRC any of the 8v exhausts switch sans the rear mounts. Look on eBay...you can always find old systems there for pretty cheap.Comment

if i post this enough i'm sure the search feature will pick it up.
1977-1986 GS750-GS1150 headers will interchange..
except for the 1983 GS750.
this is for headers only.
some will hang lower.
some will touch the pan.
all will need a new hanger fabricated for the collector.
unless you purchase a pipe for your specific model..
these will not just bolt on and ride..
they will bolt on to the engine(head) but will follow different paths to the rear of the bike depending on the pipe/model of GS you own.Comment
