Just for kicks, checked the price of the factory Suzuki valve spring compressor and it wasn't crazy expensive. Looks like the attachment to match the valve springs are extra though which adds to the cost. Got this info from Part Shark for the GS1100E...

Got mine today, works good on my 4 valve head. The biggest spring adapter is 30mm, I am not sure if that is big enough for a 2 valve.

valve compressor.......
hi guys a few years ago when i pulled the head off my gs1000e,,, i actually went and purchased a valve compressor from SUPERCHEAP,,, and when i got it home went out to the garage and got out a spark plug socket and ground 2 decent cutouts into it opposite each other on the spark plug side stuffed a bolt down the guts of it and WAM it works like a treat hope this helps regards david
