    rev limiter, govener chip?

    does my 78 gs750e have any kind of rev limiter?

    Strictly mechanical - valve springs, valve mass, piston mass, etc. 8)

      damn. in 1st and second when i rev it, it feels like theres a rev limiter, it takes longer and feels like it doesnt wanna rev as high as the higher gears

          the motor feels like it. between 6-10k rpm

            Sounds like a jetting problem!!! does it rev out alright in the other gears? What colour are your spark plugs?

              the stock ignition will go 'flat' at some point, where the points can't rev any higher...so it might act like a limiter. if Suzuki designed it that way, it should happen around 9000-9500 RPM according to their tach.

              my 550 runs over 11,000 with a Dyna on it...
