What size spacer for Progressive springs on GS1000
I want to install my progressive springs tonight but haven't figured out if I need a spacer or not. I know I can figure it out by preloading the shocks and taking measurements but I would like to swing by Lowe's on the way home from work to pick up the PVC. Anyone who has the springs in their GS1000, can you tell me if you used spacers and what size?Tags: None

I think the rider weight is the determining factor.

On my 80GS1000G I needed a large spacer 90mm long from memory.
On my 781000E I needed a small spacer to add preload, the springs were already almost to the tube tops.
The shortest piece of tube you can buy will be more than long enough to make up the 2 spacers you need whatever the length!1980 GS1000G - Sold
