i just picked this up yesterday. guy i bought it off of thought it was a yosh pipe. i don't think so. doesn't sweep up enough i think.

think it might be a bassani but there's no id plate.

that is a distinct possibility. it fits ok. but it's a removable baffle. so it could be from anything and i have no idea if bassanis had a removable baffle originally.

Does it have a single Allen bolt to hold n the baffle and a perforated center screen up the middle? Looks an awful lot like the old Yosh pipe I had on my 1000S.

That's a Bassani, but definitely not the stock Bassani baffle. The baffle should fit flush, inside the end of the pipe, fastened with three button head allen screws. There were two types, a street version, and a competition version that was 3" ID Very Loud, but made good power.

it probably is something like a v&h baffle. i'll get some pics but it does have a single screw to hold it in with a perforated steel core and perforated end plates.

                          nice sherlocking ray!

i got a call from the guy i bought it from today letting me know he managed to send me home with the v&h baffle for his new exhaust and that apparently a probably bassani baffle won't fit in a v&h pipe. wondered why it didn't seem to fit too well.

                          we'll be swapping back soon.
