Best rear sprocket for GS550?
I have two sprockets, one is 50T and the other is a 38T. Which would be best?Tags: None

Stock is the 50t but i'll let someone more knowledgeable discuss the 38t. However, I think it would be too small to do much good?
With that said, what year is your bike?Last edited by cowboyup3371; 11-29-2010, 05:30 PM.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace

I wouldn't go that much smaller than stock on a 550, you'll be struggling with that high gear ratio.... I went 12% over stock on a 750 & really noticed it.
I have ridden a 550 plenty of times & I think going that much higher would make it a real dog.1980 GS1000G - Sold
