    Undercut tranny prices

I saw an add on ebay for an undercut tranny for GS1000 2V which is priced at $359.00.. This got me wondering how much it should cost to have this work done on my own parts. In other words, is this a good price for the work being done?

    eBbay listing for undercut tranny
    >WORK DONE BY MRE
    >ALL GEARS AND SHAFTS HAVE PASSED A MAGNAFLUX INSPECTION AND THE SHAFTS HAVE ALSO PASSED A TRUENESS INSPECTION
    >2nd THRU 5TH GEARS HAVE BEEN UNDERCUT
    >GEARS AND SHAFTS THEN GLASS BEADED AND SHAFTS THEN POLISHED
    >FULLY ASSEMBLED WITH BEARINGS - - LUBRICATED AND READY TO DROP IN

Call Jay directly at MRE. Tell him Teamdar sent you. Ask him how much to cut your transmission. 1-800-237-7223

Thanks.. can you tell me if the work described in my post is pretty much standard as far what should be done? Anything more, or less?

That's the standard undercut. Shafts don't have to be polished but they look nice.

Trans undercutting usually runs about 350 + shipping. BUY that one as the trans is INCLUDED in what it would cost you just to have yours cut! Ray.

don't pay those crazy prices ! all you need is 2 and 3 gear back cut on the output shaft for excited street riding and some track fun.

Klemme Performance does this for $75.00
