    Nikacil Plating

I was wondering if anyone has experience with nikicil plating in a gs or similar engine. I read it reduces wear by up to 20%

As far as I know Nikasil plating is only done on cylinders that don't use liners. It goes right over the bare aluminum cylinder walls. It's not cheap either, I saw a quote of right at $300 to do one 65cc cylinder. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikasil

The one we use here at our shop is Millennium Technologies. Tel 920-893-5595, Their web address is mt-llc.com. They can do a single cylinder bike for around $200.00. We have had great success with this company doing our Mx race bikes or high end Ducati.

In order to do it, you would need to make aluminum liners for the block so that you had the spigots sticking out of the bottom.

The billet pro mod blocks are made that way. They run about $1600 plated and sized.
