Finally got my MC2 Ignition Installed
I was able to mount the MC2 under my seat and above the battery without to much trouble today. Also hooked up the air kill and two-step wiring too. I'm using a MSD RPM selector for the high side and have it set on 9400 rpms. Sence I don't have wheelie bars yet I'm going to try a 3000 rpm chip for launch on the two step. Aiming not to due a wheelie or bogg the bike either so I'll keep going higher on the chip to find that sweat spot. I didn't have any chips that low so I removed the back of the MSD RPM selector and found they use resistors to change the rpm settings. So off to Radio Shack for some 1/4 watt 1.88K, 2.5K and 3.59K resistors or close to these values. This should get me in the ball park for 3K, 4K and 5K rpm laucnh settings. Cost under a dollar compared to buying new chips at 5 bucks apiece at the Hot Rod store. Can't wait for Friday and alittle test and tune.

My 81 GS1100E
I used the Dyna 2000 to me a much better ignition and already comes with a retard for Nitrous. I launch mine at about 4500 depending on track conditions. But my bike has USD GSXR forks, wheels and brakes. I made the rear swingarm for it out of 2 GS1150 arms. My wheelbase is 68" inches. One of the best swaps I did when the motor was stock was put some 36mm 90 GSXR carbs on it. Run a 155 main and shim the needles with two washers. This is for K&N filters. Night and day difference. I went a 6.97 @ 102 mph like this.

36mm carbs
They are both. But way better than the GS stock carbs. And a lot cheaper that Rs flatslides. A very nice upgrade. I run 38mm CV flatslides from a 1990 GSXR 750 on my bike.
