Gs700 cams vs Gs750 cams
Anyone know the difference between the lift and duration on the 83 gs750 cams and 84 gs700 cams. Will the 700 cams work better in my 750 motor?.I have rs34 4 into 1 and a big bore kit..Tags: None

I don't know the figures but I do know that Suzuki basically "hot rodded" the 700 motor with different cams & slightly higher compression in order to make the performance figures match the 750.
I believe the 1150 cams are the "hottest" & would also fit your engine. "Posplayr" has a datasheet with all the different Cam specs on it somewhere.
I think "nicholaschase" was selling a set of the 1150 cams....1980 GS1000G - Sold

You probably need to slot the sprockets so that you can degree them in... You can do it with a burr on a dremel allegedly1980 GS1000G - Sold

Thanks for the advice...So do you think it is worth it on a 750 motor?.I wouldn`t have put a big bore in a 750.... but when i tore it down i found it had one.Ihave read unless i intend on degreeing the cams just leave the stock ones.

The biggest difference between the 700 and the 750 was the quality of the crankshaft journal bearings, they were much more durable than previous years 750's.

It's only the exhaust cam that is different between the 700 and 750. Magazines back in the day called them the hottest cams Suzuki had ever used.
