Thx Amos. It may wait until next winter depending on how late the engine gets done. Riding is more important.

What I am reffering to as cosmetics is having the tank, side cover and tail cowling repainted. Plus the S fairing that is on it's way to me as we speak

          That's all that is left.

If we can stay on task John it could be done as soon as within the next month. But I am hoping for at least late summer.

That's the part I cured but not before Joe was out of time. *sigh*

Time and money are joined at the hip but are not the same thing.

I really miss it. It's sick how I feel about that bike.

                            Thx guys, really
I am very anxious myself but I fear I may not do any
repainting at this point any more this year. So when it
is done I will have an awesome running 1000 but it will
most likely look exactly as it did before I tore it down
except it will be cleaner from me taking it down to the
frame and painting that and cleaning all parts before
                            coming back up.

If I can work it out I will still get the tank done. It is really
the only part that needs it the most. The rear tail cowling
is brand new and is the right color but doesn't have the pin
                            striping done.

Right now it is still just a roller and looks exactly as it does
in the pictures on the web site.

We re-start work on the head and block next weekend

                              Hey Mark,

How did the work go on Saturday?

Make any good progress? Would be nice to see that "1000" on the road for the ride..

I pulled the entire front end off Joe's '80 GS1000L so I could go dual caliper but I think it is a wash. I am not putting L forks on my bike and I want to keep the spoked rims. I am not sure I can go dual with the spokes. If that's the case I will stay with a single disk brake up front.
