Well in my case guys Joe has been doing my engine work for almost 24 years now. His reputation precedes him around here and there is no concern of shoddy workmanship from Paparo.

The delay earlier was mostly my fault because of money issues. Now there is no delay. I have no deadline anymore but the motor will be done this winter most likely. If not early spring. I am no longer in a hurry and I have added more mods and paint to the mix.

I am going to completely restore it now head to toe. I do miss it, can't wait to hear it scream again

Looks like time to update the web site isn't going to happen right now so here is a couple pics of recent activity for you all.

Those cylinders look really scratchy, not good, but I will trade them for a smooth set if you like.

JK keep up the good work, it's getting somewhere!

I don't know Hoomie, you'd better trade Robinjo while he's in a good trading mood. That looks like a nasty vertical crack in that cylinder wall right below the "P" in Japan.
              Doze.

hmmm, gonna have me a look at that. :x

                  How did I miss that?

That cylinder came out of a good running engine with low miles.
It should be good. Is there some sort of scoring on the inside of
a cylinder wall that is normal?

I am going to visit Joe and look at that again.

                  Pays to post!

                  Thx guys.

Me too Rob. I am hoping to maybe get out there tonight to see
it if I can work it out to do so. I'll let you guys know what comes of it.

It's no worry if it is because we have more cylinders if needed.

I spoke with Joe last night on the phone as I couldn't make it out there.
He said absolutely and positively not as the guy who does the boring
would have noted it. He/we are going to pull it down just the same
and have a good look at it.

No worries, if it is in fact a crack we have more cylinders 8)

I'll let you know what the final word is.

Right now were nailing down what cams to use.

                          Hey Brother,

I just posted the specs to mount the 180 with the armless brake caliper. It is a little different spacer measurements. You have to make sure you use the gsxr spacer that goes between the hanger and the wheel bearing. They are 21mm and the GS's that look identical are 23mm. Mounting it is a simple job of making/welding the catch bracket onto the swingarm for the hanger to slide into.

the new spacer measurements are 12.5mm sprocket side and 3mm caliper side. that makes for a 5/8 offset countershaft sprog. the stock spacer on the sprocket side is 28.5mm. 28.5mm-16mm(5/8)=12.5mm spacer

                          here is the diagram:

I wanted to use the torqueless arm because I like the clean look. also I have a 93 banana arm wheel and you can't use the standard brake with it cause the arm hits the tire.

but I decided to try it with my standard wheel which works better with a gs swing cause it is closer to the swing fork.

There you go HOOMIE, I hope this is what you were wondering about. I will post pics when I am done OK Ryan?
