Now I just need to find that bike building resource kit, you know, the one that is filled with time and money?

I have lost my mind completely

With the lag time I have had waiting for engine parts from the U.S. I have had a ocuple more idea's.

I have bought a quick change clutch cover and I am installing a site-glass into it and I just picked up rear caliper and hanger from a 93 gsxr banana arm. I am going to fab my swingarm to be torque linkless like the banana arm.

I picked up the caliper and hanger for a song. Hard to find those puppies. I have a really nice banana arm rear wheel which until recently I didn't know you can't use with a torque arm because it won't fit past the tire. The hubs are diff. The rotor is closer to center than a regular wheel. Who would have thought. I traded my first banana arm rear wheel for this one and it turned out to be one too.

I like the clean look without a torque arm but couldn't find the setup till now.

It does! Interesting to note is that you started out by saying you lost your mind completely in the very first part there. Now look what happened to me

Thx again for sharing. And yes my bike WILL run again someday :?

Well it's that time of year again, and as expected, it has taken a toll on my wallet! As well as project funds so in order to get this finished by spring I have once again changed the game plan. Back to the original plan again.

I am not going to do any cam work. We are going to put the stock cams back in and button her up. Work on the head and the top end should be finished some time in January and I hope to have it back in the bike and running by late February.

I may not have the greenbacks to paint it this year but at this point I do not care anymore. I just want my GS back! I haven't owned a running GS the entire time I have been a member here! Enough of that.

Anyway, just though I would post that update.

Oh and I also forgot to mention in answer to the earlier discussion about the possible cracked cylinder wall. It is just the photo somehow. We checked it out and she is good to go

                        Cam Upgrade Back On!

It would appear that the madness marches on! But it?s all good I promise. My cam upgrade is back on. It seems that I will be getting an awesome set of authentic Pops Yosh Stage II cams for my engine now.

I spoke with Joe and he already has what we need to do the job and the engine itself has already been built for these perfect drop in parts!

Now my issue is the carbs. Due to the duration of these babies I may not have enough vacuum to operate the 34mmcv carbs we were going to use on this engine. I am not holding my breath for a pair of smooth bores even though that is what we really would want because they are too costly for me at this time. Joe is going to dig around the warehouse and see if he can find a set of fat vm carbs that will work as they will be better than these cv?s if they don?t work out.

                        Anyhow, WooHoo!

                        Oh yeah BTW, thanks Katman

You got to be pulling my leg with over 5000 post's.

I'd be trying to shoe horn a lawnmower engine in there.

                              Good Luck for next year.
