One of the sellers I've dealt with is Anderson Vintage Parts. I thought it may have been him. There's a couple more but I just can't remember their names. Doesn't matter though.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

John, we are on schedule man. Tomorrow morning I am putting a few finishing touches on the GS and then taking it out to Joe's to put the engine in

It has a big hole in the center of it. I need to fill that

            Thx, I'm pumped

When I was wiring everything back together in the headlight bucket tonight it hit me. This is it! I may actually get my GS back! WooHoo!

If Joe doesn't come through now, I will need another freezer in my garage

All I can say is WOW! Looking good, you can buff out that current paint and it'll look sweet until you get her redone how you are planning.

Also digging the kicker box on the shelf. Are those 18 inchers? 8)

That is what I am doing for now Domino, just some buff and go.

15" Competition series. Hermetically sealed cabinet done right not short cutted by porting. And yes, each and every sound chamber of the subs, mids and even the highs including the tweets are perfectly tuned to the thiel parameters for each cone. I did my homework back then and won 3 out of 3 competitions I went to in the compression category. I was able to produce over 5 times more pressure with only 500 wrms to the subs than a quad cabinet of 10" Orion's did running off a Rockford 1K amp.

I also took top place for highest db with clarity in the one event. You can't see it in the photo but the top cabinet is sitting on top of the subs. They are separate enclosures that bolt together internally through sealed door openings in the sides and embedded nuts in the sub cabinet.

All that and my cabinet only got an honorable mention for design because the judges felt is was too huge and blocked too much rear view. It was custom made to fit in the back of my Cherokee Laredo.

I drove the subs in stereo with 250wrms per sub filtered and the mid and top range sections were crossed separately and driven with a stereo 350wrms amp. All my crossing was done in the signal "pre" amplified which was considered new back then. Now it is the only way it is done.

Anyway, it just gathers dust now

Today went as I expected it would. Actually better. I had already planned to deal with the disappointment of being told there wouldn't be any time for me today. That didn't happen. But things are behind schedule. But it's all good. The porting was not finished as I was told it was. It took the entire day to do what we did. I helped by cleaning parts and bead blasting. I rebuilt my front brake caliper and helped a bit with the porting. We got the engine assembled enough to put in the bike. One possibly very bad thing may have happened. I was tightening the bottom pinch nut on the right side and I heard that gut sickening soft crack sound that an engine case makes when you crack it. I think the bolt might have been too long and I drove it into the side of the bottom engine case. We are going to check that tomorrow. If so, then engine will need to come back out and that will have to be welded :? *sigh* I sure hope not.

Anyway, it was a good day and here are some more pics:

Arrived at Paparo's and already unstrapped. Need help getting it off the truck but no one is here

I must be early or something? Actually, this is in the afternoon and they are at lunch, I am the one that is early

                            Oh that is just beautiful

Let's have a closer look shall we?

Rough porting done, needs checked and then polished.

hmmm, kind of looks vulgar doesn't it?

Engine is in and bike is on lift. No worries, I am ordering new case cover emblems

It's up so high because we are done for the night and are actually rolling other bikes in under it.

Very tired I am, but a much happier man I be
