    LOL!!! Only twisted minds buddy

I forgot to mention another small miracle. I wired the bike over the last two nights reconnecting everything according to what I thought I understood from the wiring diagram. I connected the battery and low and behold I got it all 100% in the first shot. Absolutely everything works. Headlight and high beam and high beam indicator, left and right and front and back turn signals, turn signal beeper, brake light for both from and back (I was worried about the front because when I put my new low profile levers on it didn't look good in there and I cleaned it a bit) and last but not the least, the horns!

    Rock on!

Well I do have one little piece of bad news. But Joe says it isn't a big deal.

When I commented in an earlier post about the crack sound while tightening the lower right pinch bolt, I was right about the sound. I know that sound. It was the sound of an aluminum engine case having a bolt driven iinto the side of it... "crack" :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

The bolts were not stock but were longer because they held the back of the engine gaurds on. I forgot about that and had taken off the old gaurds because they were broken and I have several new ones. But I wasn't planing on putting them on yet so guess what. That's right, crack!

Joe said he can gas weld it and it isn't an issue at all. It's only a small crack and it didn't push through or anything. I am glad to hear that.

I have got to be smarter!

It actually isn't, if you read more of them you would see there are several way longer. But I am not done yet

If you read about halfway through you would see why.

But thx for the encouragement

Maybe less chatting and more wrenching would speed things up?

Apology excepted. When you post stuff like that without emoticons it makes people think you are flaming them.

Just add a smiley and people will know your poking them, we do it to each other all the time

And yes, this could possibly become the worlds longest rebuild! LOL

But I sure hope not 8O
