Just wondering Mark and without reading back...with all this added power, are you having the crank welded and clutch basket modified/welded?
My simple mod's probably add about 15+HP and I thought it was a good idea to weld the crank and modify the clutch. In fact, V&H recommended the welded crank even if the bike stayed stock.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Good to hear.. I thought about it last night when I passed Papparo's at around 8:40 and they were packing the bikes away for the night.

Awww come on Keith, what? You don't want to read through all 31 pages to find your answer???? It's in there

Yes buddy, were doing a lot including what you have mentioned. But I may enhance the clutch more later if it doesn't hold up. You can see the old list on the ninth post down on page 15 of this thread.

A reputable mechanic that Katman turned us onto says this engine built this way when setup properly should produce 120+ BHP but that is yet to be seen of course. I'll be happy with any number over 100. Anything under 100 and I have failed and waisted my money.

I need to enhance the brakes now 8O

I left there at 8:15 after picking up my jet kit. Brian was just pulling in.

I will be finishing the porting and setup of the head myself now.
I don't see any way this is going to get done if I keep waiting for
someone else to do it. At this point, I am aggressively retaking
ownership of my engine and my project. I don't want to ruffle any
feathers but if it happens so be it. I think I can do this? I know
Dink and a few others have said they do their own porting and
polishing work so I think I can do it too. I want this done!

            Here goes!

Start porting and polishing without any experience or help? 8O !
Please Mark, if that's the case, just leave the head stock. You can lightly clean up any small imperfections but you have to do precise/matched work here. These bikes are a lot of fun with just pipe/pod/piston/mild cam mods. Be happy with that!
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!

I agree, you have to know what your doing with PnP.

Well I appreciate that guys and I certainly don't expect any human to follow all 31 pages of this ridiculous thread to come up to speed but it is WAAAAAY to late for that. There is very little left stock on this motor anymore and it is more than medium modded at this point. The porting has already been done. ie... the guts were cut out of it and now there is some nice holes bored through into the other sides so it needs the patching (either weld or epoxy depending on location) and then will need finished with a flow/volume test to get them matched and then polished.

I actually know how to do it having studied it over the last year and a half and even performed the mod on one head already that worked out pretty good.

I may have misled you here. I won?t be doing anything without the help of a professional at a professional shop. It is staying right here where it is. It's simply that I have taken the project on myself and am "pushing" the buttons. So far I haven't angered anyone (choosing my words wisely) and have been told that I can do it and to come out and he will help as needed but I am finishing it now or it wont get done I am afraid. I don't see it getting done any other way. I didn't mean to make it sound like I am bringing it home or anything. I was just wound up when I posted that having just got back from there after a lenthy talk about "we NEED to get this done NOW! How are we going to do it?"

My presence is relentless at this point and my bike has been pulled from the back and moved to the front. I am being pushy, but careful. Sad ain't it? It's working.

I go out tomorrow after work to start my work. I can do it.

OK I attempted to look I did but ahhhh so many posts! All I was looking for was the list of current mods done and the list of future mods still to come. It seemed every page I would read had something new. So have you out together a web site I could visit? I really would like a list. I cant wait to see the end resault ooh it will be so cool.

You can see the old list on the ninth post down on page 15 of this thread. The plan hasn't varied much as far as the mechanicals go.
