      Update

Thanks for the replacement 1000G tensioner Ed.

I have taken pics of both tensioner guides and their holders. The shorter one is the 1000G unit.

The main differences can be overcome, but the contact pads are at different heights from the pivot point. I feel this must be remedied or the guide will tend to distort when the tension is applied by the pin. I could cut off the 850 pad and attach it to the 1000 one, but it may come adrift if not bonded securely.

It may be easier to just fit another 850 blade to the 1000G pivot mount, or buy a new 850 unit and source a used 850 holder!

      Any other suggestions?

        Some feedback on this issue.

I have fitted up the later model guide holder and find that the stock 850 tensioner guide locates at the correct height when bolted to the case. Even though the taper is smaller, the guide still fits securely, so I'll fit up an 850 guide and call it done!

Thanks for all the offers of help guys.
