How hard was it to put a GS1100 engine in the GS750 frame. Is there a place (website) where I could look up the interchangablilty with parts between the 750/1000/1100?

                  thanks

The engine bolted in no trouble only the two mounts at the bottom under the crank dont line up . I just made a new plate that bolts to the frame. The 750-1000 frames are the same as far as those bottom bolts not lining up

Thanks! Is it true the exhaust is the same for the 750/1000/1100?

As far as the exhaust goes, I think the angle of the head and cylinders are a little different between the 8v and 16v. I bought an exhaust on ebay for my 79GS750E and the collector hangs pretty low. I believe it was for a 1980 1100 or so as I compared them when I had both bikes.I can't get in your pics, too much traffic I guess. That is a good sign!
