Call Z1Enterprises. They will help you with the sprockets and calculate the number of links you will need in the chain.

You have a 530 chain on it from the factory. No need to do a conversion.GS700 sprockets are the same,so are 83 750 sprockets.

Check the links you need on the 700 supplement in Bass Cliffs site http://www.mtsac.edu/~cliff/storage/...ice_manual.pdf .The 85 has the same longer swingarm as the 700.Ask me how I know

The 83's had a shorter swinger?

Yes about 1/2 an inch.Wondered why I could not get the chain tight when I switched my 85 swinger for a 83.Look on the spec sheet,85's are 1" longer wheelbase. The rest is different triples.Found that out the hard way to

Any Bandit sprocket from 98-02 will fit it also which gives you alot of options.

That's one of the reasons I love this forum - you can learn something new everyday, even about something you already knew everything about

                    Thanks Greg!

The fork tubes are pushed forward about 1/2 inch to.More trail I think.Tried a 85 top with the 85 bottom, didn't work obviously.
