Horsepower figures (Street bikes only please)

1075cc, cleaned ports, stage 1 Yoshi cams, 29 mikuni smoothbores, Tingate exhaust plus minor tweaks in 1980 8 valve GS1000st equals 105hp at back wheel. Any HP figures that match (higher or lower don't care) Thanks

I'll try to get some from the dyno this weekend if I make it out there.

1981 Katana 1100 with 57k miles, completely stock including intake and exhaust with #95 main jets instead of the 112's that were supposed to be there for the Euro model 87.6 bhp @ rear wheel. As bought.

Already have a 4-1 pipe waiting to go on, will jet accordingly. Thinking about stage 1 with drop-in K&N or stage 3 with pod filters. Estimated power about 95rwhp (I hope...).

(And I didn't count the peak in fourth.)

I got 92 rear wheel hp in 1995 when I had a Yosh 4-1 and stage 1 jetting with the cover removed from the airbox. I think it had 122.5 main jets. I have since put a Dynajet stage 3 and K&N pods with a V&H supersport 4-1 exhaust. I have adjustable cam gears to put in (this winter if time allows) and hopefully will get another reading when done.

83 GS1100E. 1166 Wiseco 10.25:1 pistons, Cam motion G3 (.345 lift) cams @106IN 108EX, Vance&Hines Supersport 4-1, Keihin 37.5 smoothbores, mild port work, K&N pods = 129 HP at rear wheel. Could get more if I wanted to squeeze it all into the top end I guess.

1199 wiseco pistons, 38 smoothbores, Hindle pipe, Dyna 2000 ignition and coils. This dyno was done with a bad clutch four years ago.

It's either Butt Horsepower or Brake Horsepower. I think you calibrate Butt Horsepower on the Butt Dyno, but I'm not entirely sure.

It is actually Break (Brake) Horse Power

But I prefer Big Hooning Power

So if it is break or brake HP then which is it and what does that mean? Does anyone know? Or is this just one of those terms that everyone uses but makes no sence and no one really knows why? There are things like that. I am hoping this isn't one of them

Brake horse power is actual horse power delivered by the engine to the shaft. It is equal to the indicated horsepower less the fiction of the engine also call at the crank horse power

Or brake horsepower is the actual horsepower of an engine measured by a brake attached to the engine and recorded on a dynamometer. Engine 101 class

It's the horsepower delivered to the rear wheel. I was joking a bit to much the first time I guess.
