Thanks, but it is not luck. It takes some extra time, effort and patience to find and get good deals. I have many different seaches being performed on Ebay on a daily basis. Ebay emails the results of those seaches. If there is something I need, then I place it on my "watch list" I determine what is the most I would pay (including shipping) and then wait until the last minute to bid. If you bid any earlier than the last minute, you are asking for a bid war which could raise the price up to more than the object was worth. I watched a $12 Pingel bike stand get bidded up to $26 plus shipping one time. I wonder if the bidders knew the real price, brand new? Anyway, my point is that there is no luck involved. March 6th Dragstrip Report (CORRECTED)

Had a great day, made 6 passes during time trials and got eliminated on the first round of eliminations.

(CORRECTION)
The shocker was my best time. It did an 8.047 sec 84.240 mph pass with a .688 reaction time and a 1.800 60 ft time.

The only real problem I had was spinning the tires and getting my feet up in time to shift to second. I do not think air shifters are allowed in the Summit Series, someone please correct me if I am wrong. Lowering my tire pressure to 9 psi helped greatly, but someday will go with a slick.

All in all, I had a great time and that is what I wanted!

Yes, the Barona Dragstrip is about 6 months old (1/8 mile) and is about 5 miles east of the casino on Wildcat Canyon Rd. See www.baronadragstrip.com for all the info.

I have not been to Carlsbad since the Dragbike! Nationals in 1980. I have heard nothing but bad things about Carlsbad lately, but I haven't been there to see what they are talking about. I know it wasn't a very nice track back in 1980.

Here's a short movie clip from last saturday

The announcer says I am riding a Honda, but that is because they can't tell the difference from the tower and were getting information from their computer database, that was not updated when I started racing the Suzuki. This was my 8.047 run (on the right lane against a turbo 1972 Honda 750). I got a 1.80 60 ft time on this one.

Just mounted a M/T slick on the stock rear rim. Will run tomorrow and see if I can stop so much spinning and get some nicer times.

I don't know about that front fender, you say it looks backwards? I guess I will have to check it out.

BTW, I just got back from the track. The new slick works great, my 60ft times were a very consistant 1.70 -1.75s. I am also solid ito the 7's now with a best of 7.839 and best speed of 87.169. I think I have my bracket racer sorted out. I'll get a clip of one of my runs posted in a while.
