Hello all! I have a 1981 Gs 450 without engine. Because i ride this bike on highway i need to say if it's possible put a 4 cylinder from gs 550 engine into frame of gs 450.... Thanks much from Italy!

I'm pretty sure that a 4cyl won't fit. The 400's are adequate for highway use. My old 77 GS400 would cruise at 70mph with no issues. A 450 will be just as adequate.Jedz Moto

+1... never had an issue with my 450 on the highway, and while you might *squeeze* a 550 or bigger in there, it won't be easy...1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie
