    It is clear plastic and really cheap.
    Bought at local Suzuki dealer made for dirt bikes also $1.99.
    Don't think it will stop any of the real small bits from getting past but will stop anything big enough to clog jets or screens from float valve seat.

      I run a steel-body Wix filter on the two Suzuki's (don't trust plastic) and they clearly lay waste to the goofy notion that fuel flow is restricted, etc. The filter is about 2.5 inches and I can get you the number if you are truly interested.
