    KPMI valves

Anyone have an opinion on Kibblewhite Black Diamond valves in a street/strip 1400?

I am looking at 29.5in and 24ex(or 24.5?) which I believe is the max valve size for stock seats on an 1150 head.

No direct contact with them, but a lot of the smart people seem to like them.

      I have a set of 28.5mm in my 1327. I got them from Z1

The pic there looks more what I got, see how the stem is thinner in the port area for better flow. I paid 20 something $ per valve, prices have gone waaay up.
I liked the shape of them better than the Ferrea valves I had.

Kibblewhite's are my valve of choice in stainless valves. NEVER had an issue due to one. You DON'T have to use the black diamonds. The regular, non coated valves are good too. Ray.

Am I correct on max valve size on the stock seats?

And where would a guy find the best price on them?

I think they retail at 43 each for a finished valve.

I can go 31.50 each and there is going to be shipping/handling also.

                brand new 29.5 and 24.5 ...

Just 4 years ago, my cost was $14.75 a valve! Ray.

How much does a typical valve job go for when upgrading to ozersize valves?

I charge $250.00 for a 16 valve, valve job, & use a "radius" shaped cutter that blends the valve job into the seat insert instead of a 3 or 5 angle cutter. I have gotten better mid to high lift airflow numbers with the "radiused" shape with no loss in low lift airflow. For another $100.00 I will do the bowl work & blend the seats into the ports. Ray.

great price for a radius --I wouldn't do it for that cash. but I admit I can be bribed with pastery and yummy stuff.

Lord do I have a bunch load of attention and hours in my seats , I have no serdi -- sold my Thor and stones years ago. got a set of neway cutters at the shop.

I like the durability of 3 angles and 1 degree of interference.

All valves commercially available are pretty great - ferrera APE KPMI -BUT not all aftermarket valves use suzuki keeper shape

so watch for that if you don't get the kpmis'
