New front end on GSX1100 -82

    I have -82 GSX 1100 E and I have installed front end from -92 GSX1100R and rear wheel from zx 6r Kawasaki 17" 160/60.
ground clearance is now about 8 cm.
Can I expect any problems in handling of bike other than turning.
Any ideas how to get more ground clearance

Make sure the sag is set up right for your weight at both ends. I have switched to GSXR parts at both ends. The only time I have any clearance problems is when I head down a steep grade that bottoms out and heads straight back uphill. I have a couple of header tubes that now have flat bottoms on them. Not a big deal though.

      ground clearance

How long are the forks from top of fork leg to the axle? If its less than 31 inches you probably don't need a sidestand anymore..
You can get some of the ground clearance back with longer shocks on the rear. Ones from early eighties 'onda CB750-1100 are (at least) 1.5 inches longer.

Forks are 740mm (about 29") long and sidestand works somehow.
