That should be the same as the 90-95 GSXR750 conversions. My 4.5" wheel only has 5 bolts for the carrier.

BTW, Vortex has them with any number of teeth you want. Check their website, you can order directly from them. Really nice sprockets.

JT Sprockets website only shows the 5 bolt rear sprocket up to 1989 for the GSXR750. 1990 and later used the 6 bolt pattern. The 1985-1989 GSXR sprockets all interchange and use the same front as the 83 GS750. The Katana looks like it kept the 5 bolt pattern after the GSXR went to the newer size.

Ed,
I remember what it was I ordered now. Check the Vortex website. The sprockets I got were for '89 and up GSX600F models. Bikebandit shows them having a 5 bolt pattern.

I used Sunstar sprockets...lined right up.
Pretty reasonable and steel, not aluminium.
DID o-ring chain.
No spacers on the rear.
I put it on the center stand, spun the tire, eyeballed it, looked ok.
Started it up on the center stand, ran thru 3/rd.....perfect........
Luck huh?
Shoulda played the lottery to pay for all the partsKeith

Just offering some info on a GS 630 to 530 conversion. Sunstar makes 530 conversion sprockets for all '78-83 750, 1000, 1100 and 1150 fours. There is a special footnote to use 6mm washers with the c/s sprocket. Any motorcycle dealer that orders from Parts Unlimited can get these sprockets. Heres the p/n's (these are hardened steel).
c/s sprockets:
13T: 51113
14T: 51114
15T: 51115
16T: 51116
17T: 51117
Rear sprockets:
38T: 2-522638
42T: 2-522642
43T: 2-522643
44T: 2-522644
45T: 2-522645
46T: 2-522646
47T: 2-522647
48T: 2-522648
50T: 2-522650
52T: 2-522652

Sunstars wear quickly for me. I stick with JT from now on.
If you want to convert, just tell your dealer that you have a Bandit. Same sprockets, just need a 6 mm spacer.Currently bikeless

I had a Sunstar rear sprocket and I'm guessing it had 40,000+ miles on it. I bought a new sprocket a while back because it was cheap. I recently installed a new chain and noticed when I lined up the old Sunstar with the new sprocket, there was absolutely no noticable wear to the teeth. And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!
