What recommendation do you have for replacing or modding the 1150 ginormous headlight? Mine has a small hole in it, I am going to fill this one in with some epoxy for short term, and am wondering about replacement and alternatives. A search in the forums doesn't yield much.

The 82-83 GS1100E has the same headlight.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

I have a stone chip in mine , the stone hit and the chip came off the inside. I had the headlamp off and patched it with clear rtv from the inside,through the light bulb hole.
Still doesn't leak.

That's what I was going to do, but with some clear epoxy, like they do with windshields. I guess there are really no affordable alternatives. Maybe it's time to learn glassblowing?

I have a SRAD 650 headlight on the 1150. Its a little smaller but has the better bulb setup and the housing is similar to the 1100e or 1150e bucket...Comment
