Wiesco restrict their stock overbore kits to 10.25-1. Many tuners have found that kick back occurs in the 10.5-1 region onwards. Ignition timing has a big influence on kickback.

I used to experience kickback on my 850, until I serviced the starter and retarded the advance by 2 degs. The retarding actually improved mid range torque significantly.
