2v 1100
Will any 2v 1100 cylinder fit on a 78 gs1000 case? Will the 1000 head fit the cylinder?
Thanks1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head

In short answer yes.
I have a 1100g 2v cylinder on my78 gs1000.
Just check the deck.
If i remember the 1100 cylinder is a little taller than the 1000 bblock.
I have not used the 1000 head, i have a gk d shaped head on it.
The 1000 head should fit with a later style gasket because off the camchain tunnel.
Or a early style gasket, i dont remember, i have used a MLS head gasket.
