    2v 1100

Will any 2v 1100 cylinder fit on a 78 gs1000 case? Will the 1000 head fit the cylinder?

    Thanks

    In short answer yes.
    I have a 1100g 2v cylinder on my78 gs1000.
    Just check the deck.
If i remember the 1100 cylinder is a little taller than the 1000 bblock.
I have not used the 1000 head, i have a gk d shaped head on it.
The 1000 head should fit with a later style gasket because off the camchain tunnel.
Or a early style gasket, i dont remember, i have used a MLS head gasket.

      Thanks.

Time to look for one if compression does not come up after some miles.
