New instrument panel for our GS's?

I was looking around on ebay and by chance(?) I discovered this brand new instrument panel for a CB 500.

Apparently the speedometer is cable driven while the tachometer is electronic.
I suppose the tacho input is taken off the switched side of the ignition coil?
That should also work with our four cylinder engines as each coil only fires two cylinders?
The fitting looks very similar to our GS 1000 instrument panel
OK it only goes to 220 km/h
    Worth a try maybe?
