    No, that's definitely the point. However, there are some things that are easier to sort out with off-bike tests. When you're riding a lot factors come into play and it can be hard to determine what's causing the problems. Getting your baseline setting as close as possible before your test rides makes the whole suspension tuning process easier and faster.

        Old bikes are cool, beautiful. Some i would say are works of art. Fairly easy to work on. If yours doesnt wiggle your not going fast enough. I road raced many a GS. They wiggled right out of the box. All the old bikes did when pushed. Who cares? Its part of its character. Put some really sticky tires on and watch what happens. New bikes work great and are not boring. If any bike is boring, why was it bought in the first place?
