how to shorten cables for drag bars

Does anyone have experience shortening their cables and brake line, or know of a source for special length cables?

It can be done but very hard. I usually look around and see what other model bikes cables will work.

You can make your own brake lines or buy ones the length you need, same on the cables..I used to get brake line material from a performance marine shop(boat store). bring ya old line with you, buy the stainless line and fittings, used to make nitrous line from the same stuff. Buy cables already made would be my suggestion. You can make your own cables too. My buddy has a kit for doing that at his shop. Dont know where he got it.

For the mechanical cables if they aren't too long you can try to reroute them. Or try a independant HD shop that does custom work to modify your cables
