    gs1000e carb jetting

    hi all got a old gs1000e it came with pods fitted but haddent been jetted right to run them i want to keep the pods on as the bikes semi streetfightered and what to keep the look right so what i'd like some help on is getting the right jet size and getting them set up right if anyone can give me a heads up on what im needing to do (other than putting the stock box back on) as you can see ive added some pics of the carbs that are on the bike cheers

        get yourself a dynojet stage 3 kit
        1978 GS1085.

          is that the easyist option? as ive got loads of different size jets here with me or do i needto do a lot more than just change the jet size?

            you could spend hours messing around with jets and get it fairly close, or fit the DJ kit and you will be a lot closer to start with. its the DJ needles that are the magic answer.
            its well worth the money

              Those are VM carbs. There is no DynoJet kit for them and they do not need one. Use this: Mikuni tuning manual

                there is a dynojet kit for them, i have one fitted in my VM's
                1978 GS1085.

                  I stand corrected, there is a kit for the 1000 only.
                  I stand by my statement, however, that the manual tells how to jet without the DynoJet kit.
