Will GS1100g 2v TOP END WORK ON 78 GS1000e? ITS A POOR MANS BORE KIT LOL.

    GS1000 BORE & STROKE= 70.0 x 64.8 mm

IM THINKIN THE HEAD MUST ALSO BE DIFFERENT BECAUSE OF THE BORE

I'm planning to do the same as I managed to get a hold of a GS 1100 engine
The cylinder head is different due to the larger bore but the good news is that it has the D shaped exhaust outlet that's supposed to be much better?
What's not clear to me is whether the pistons are interchangeable ( beyond the diameter question) between the GS 1000 and the GS 1100?
The other question is about the possibility of using the GS 1100 crankshaft in the GS 1000 engine???

Pistons are interchangeable. Pin dia and deck height are the same. I was using 1100 pistons in our 1000 racebike till recently when we went Wiseco. Cranks are I believe doable but not a direct swap.
