    gs1100e swing arm on 1980 gs1100LT

I just bought a new swing arm for my LT. Is there anything I should know about fitting it? I was told it would bolt right up like stock. Will there be any changes to shock length? Stock, my bike uses a 12.8" shock. I was told this might change slightly with the new swing arm. My frame is at the powder coater, so I don't really have a way to mock this up.

    Thanks

it should bolt right up just like the round tube steel arm.
      same length ect....
      same shock mounting points ect...
you have both...take a few measurements...i'm going off of memory.
same goes for 1000 chain drives that do the swap.
