    Which Earl's Oil cooler?

    Hello All,

I am looking at oil coolers. I have always used lockhart however I am looking for a upgraded design like a Earl's cooler. Can anyone recommend one? I am looking to mount one on each of the below bikes. So far this is what I was looking at, am I on the right track? Should this be the model I buy.

The Earl's 13 row cooler is the one I chose for my ELR, only in black. If you get one, just be careful that you have enough clearance between the bottom of the cooler and your front fender. I had to get a bracket that laid against the frame downtubes so I could get enough space that the fender wouldn't contact the oil cooler under heavy fork compression. It is a nice cooler and is very 'period correct'.

Can't remember the part number for this cooler but it shouldn't be hard to figure out. Still have the lines in the garage somewhere...

Nice Pics! that one looks like the curved Earl's cooler. I am having a hard time deciding between that one and a flat one. Thank you for the detailed pics!

The curved one tucks in a little tighter and has the AN fitting built in. I need to look but think AN -8 is the appropriate size.

I wanted to "keep it in the family" so I went with an 1150 cooler and filter cover. The results are amazing - almost a 100 degree drop in temp.

I get cooler from Bandit 600. It is two times bigger than 1150 cooler. It was challenging to get close enought to frame.
Now there is 1/2" clearance to front fender when the forks are in "bottom".

If a Bandit 600 cooler is twice as big as a 1150 cooler, that means a 200F temp drop right Rob S.?

Exactly! Approximately...his turbo is throwing off my calculations.
