My 33's work real nice on my mildly built 1100e. The only thing I would say. After sitting at a red light at idle I sometimes will have to blip the throttle before letting out the clutch so it don't stall. But I think it's more of the clutch grabbing than carboration.

I will check into the stage 3 kit. When I worked in a dealership, the kits were always rich, but it was on newer(late 80's) bikes with slip ons. Funny you mention a big bore kit. I traded some stuff 25 years ago to get a spare 1100 motor. When searching for clean carbs, I checked my spare motor, that came from a drag racer. It had 160 mains in it.All the others had 102. I hope there is a surprise "under the hood" when I check the top end. All this info is very informative for me. My stuff has sat through 30 years of divorces, moving, Kids ect. Thanks again, this site is a lot more friendly than the ZRX site.
