    Supersprox,makes custom lightweight 530 rear sprockets.Cost more than Z1 but a lot lighter. Ray was just expressing his opinion,I havent seen a politically correct forum yet. Try the ZRX forum I am on.......

      He seems to me to be one of the more knowledgeable (drag) racers here, and I always figured racers were the most skilled mechanics.

      Personally, I'm not comfortable wearing a skirt and high heels when I work on vehicles.

      2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

        I agree with Trevor, I can't imagine a 16 valve GS1100 lacking torque. I would think there is something not right with the motor.

            Moving from my 750EX to a first ride on the 1100ED was pretty exciting when I first opened it up. But after I had some miles under my belt on the open road, and then dropped-in () the 1166 is really nice. Where I used to have to down shift from 5th to 4th to get passing acceleration, now it is the same with just a small twist of the throttle.

              Doesn't really lack torque... I just always want more? Whenever I get used to a bike's low end, what used to feel face-melting becomes the norm and I start pining for more umf. I dunno. I think I have a condition?

              Anyways, the torque is fine. I'm gonna keep it stock for now and have fun.
