    Rev Limiter setting

What a good setting for a limiter? just after a shift point or farther beyond that? So if you shift at 8000rpm set the limiter at 9 or 10000? Or just set it at 12000? Got a GS1166cc drag bike........Thanks

If you set your limiter too close to your shift point, you may "bounce off" the high side before you can shift. That wont hurt anything, but yyour et. If ya shift at 8k, try setting the high side at 10k... Make some passes and see how it works...You may get away with it at a lower rpm...I wouldnt set it ant higher than I had to, so as to protect your motor in case of a problem..Bill F

I shift first gear at 9700 and have the high side set at 10500. I would set your high chip at 9500 if your shifting way down at 8000. More than enough room to make sure you get your shift off. my 2 cents.
