It ain't pretty but it should work--It does, It does

Here's my new creation made from some flat steel and angle steel. You would be surprise what an arc welder and a hacksaw can do. Now if I could only weld.

This should keep the rear mount from flexing.

It's a steel brace that bolts between the frame and uses the same four mount bolts that the upper rear engine mounts too. It provides a second support to the oem mount bolt and spacer.

When you get on the gas the front sprocket trys to pull the engine backwards to the rear wheel causing the oem mount bolt and spacer to flex or bend too. This should help it from bending.

I had the steel laying around so I just started welding the pieces together to see if I could build something easy that would work. Will see tomorrow at the track if it will crack.

Holly crap, my posts are going to exceed my 1/8 runs. Good thing I'm going to the track on Friday.

After getting in 12 runs tonight and starting with a 5k chip in the 2-step the bike would bogg, so a 6K chip went in and Bogg too. I installed the 7K chip and the bike launch hard again and got down to a 1.54 60fter and ET of 6.66.

The only problem tonight was I was wearing leather pants and boy do they like to slide on the seat. One time I almost lost it, I mean butt slide off the seat and only my finger tips on the grips, arms stretched forward to the point I couldn't back off the throttle and away I went down the track in first gear banging the rev-limiter. I couldn't even reach my shift button with my left thumb, thank god for that cause if i could I'd be sitting in the middle of the track watching my bike take the win without me.

I need to fix my seat with some type of back rest.

And as for the brace it worked like a charm. Rear mount bolt is as straight as an arrow, and no cracks in the cases while I was dumping the clutch at 7K.
